This was the firs romper I ever purchased. Prior to this, I’d had serious concerns. was it going to be weird? Would my butt look cute? Would it be too tight in the thighs and too loose in the top? Would my butt look cute? How do you go to the bathroom in these?

Then I saw this one, and was sold. It’s black, cotton, and it has that insane crochet back. It also has long, bell sleeves which are a little witchy with their pointed ends and I was totally sold. I’ll be honest and tell you I sized up to a medium so I felt more comfortable with the shorts portion, but I love it. I picked it up in March, and wore it this spring and summer, but to be honest? I can’t wait to style it for fall. I think the hat screams fall and it’s a piece I’m definitely looking forward to wearing more when the cooler weather rolls around.

Now that I’m posting these, I feel like I need to come clean about a few things:
1. We took these back in June and I’ve been hording them because Nick wasn’t around this summer annnnnd they looked super fall.

2. I swear to you SWEAR that I iron my clothes before we take photos. I know that you (and my mother) don’t believe it based on evidence but I promise you I do.

3. If I could wear 6 rings every single day (I would have sourced them for you if I had any idea where the ones in this combination came from) of the week I would. I love rings. The bigger the better. I actually blame my Grandmother for making me love that “click” sound it makes when you’re wearing multiples. It always reminds me of her.

One of the things I love most about this city is the unique neighborhoods. This park has so much character, that would somehow feel out of place anywhere other than Station North. Quite charming if I do say so myself 😉

OH! And before you go, the brilliant eye behind the lens of the outfit posts on Charming City Style is Nicholas John Photography. Take a second and go like his new Facebook page? I can attest that he’s super easy to work with, makes you feel comfortable in the awkwardness that is having your photo taken, and delivers a quality product. He also didn’t pay me to say this so there’s that too.
