Last week I shared three gift guides full of ideas for ladies you love, shopping small, and staying on a budget. I’ve alluded to my deep love of shopping local, but in the interest of sharing links to exact items with you, haven’t yet shared my favorite local shops. Today that changes.

Strap yourself into your sleigh, and come for a quick spin around Baltimore this holiday season. We’re going to cross everyone off your list, no need to check twice.

For the Glamour Girl:

Babe. (a boutique)/ Cupcake Boutique

Babe. (a boutique)
Full of party dresses and fun accessories, Babe. is the definition of local shopping. With a small, well currated selection, they make shopping easy.

Oh your glamour girl is looking for a Milly, Parker, or Ali Ro, Cupcake is the place to be. The selection never fails to impress me, with drool worthy dresses and great outerwear. Local tip: don’t discount their sale rack!

For the Trendsetter:

Brightside Boutique/ South Moon Under

Brightside Boutique
With two stores downtown, Brightside is the go to spot for edgy, on trend pieces. Carrying Free People, BB Dakota, and more, you are sure to find something for the trend loving ladies on your list.

South Moon Under
Not exclusively in Baltimore, and not exclusively for women is what makes this a stand out stop on your Bmore shopping tour. I rarely walk in with out finding something fabulous, and it’s a fun place to shop for the bf (shhh…)

For the Athlete:

UA Brand HouseUA Brand House

Under Armour Brand House
Ok so, Under Armour doesn’t exactly qualify as local, but let’s be honest, Baltimore is their home. The Brand House is a fun shopping experience, and the place I easily find gifts for my active (Maryland loving) family.

For the Sneakerhead:

For Rent Shoes

For Rent Shoes
If someone on your list is loves exclusive sneakers, this is your one and only stop. Daniel doesn’t stock anything that can be found in DC or Philly, and it’s all in limited quantity. He also does an amazing job of stocking local (and exclusive) apparel items so no matter what your price point, you have choices.

For the Vintage Lover:

Hunting GroundHunting Ground

Hunting Ground
Stocking both vintage and new apparel, this store is cozy and unique. They stock only things that are in pristine condition and keeping with current trends. Bonus? It’s in an old church, which I think makes it even more unique.

This is by NO MEANS an exhaustive list of the local boutiques and fun places to shop in Baltimore, but rather a small sampling of places to choose from. These are the shops that regularly entice me in person and via Instagram.

Throughout all the gift guides this week, I’ve worked to feature stores that, for the most part, can be found in downtown Baltimore. Big name stores like Urban Outfitters, H&M, J.Crew and Anthropologie are all near the Inner Harbor, along with local boutiques in Fells Point, Federal Hill, and Hampden. Coming in the new year, I’m putting together a tab that will include not only my favorite places to shop locally, but also where to grab a snack or drink while you’re here. In the meantime, if you have questions, feel free to email me (katie@charmingcitystyle.com)!
